Ingredients
  

For 6-Quart Instant Pot
  • 1 cup Coffee grounds regular grind
  • 12 cups Filtered water to max fill line
Optional for serving
  • Ice cubes
  • Cold water or milk

Equipment

  • Instant Pot (3, 6, or 8 quart)
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Nut milk bag or cheesecloth
  • Large bowl or measuring jug
  • Glass jars or bottles for storage

Method
 

Add coffee and water
  1. Add coffee grounds and filtered water to the Instant Pot. Stir gently until all grounds are wet.
Pressure cook
  1. Close the lid and seal the valve. Set to High Pressure for 5 minutes.
Natural release
  1. Let the pressure release naturally until the pin drops. Do not quick release.
Cool and strain
  1. Let the coffee cool slightly. Strain through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth into a clean bowl.
Store the concentrate
  1. Pour into glass jars or bottles. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Serve
  1. Mix 1 part concentrate with 1 part water or milk. Pour over ice and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use medium-grind coffee for best flavor and smooth taste.
  • Store concentrate in the fridge up to 2 weeks.
  • For iced coffee, mix 1:1 with water or milk and serve over ice.
  • Not true espresso, but great for strong lattes and iced drinks.
