Method
- In a small bowl, add the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water. Stir briefly until combined.
- Whip the mixture using a hand mixer, whisk, or fork until it becomes thick, light brown, and forms soft peaks. This takes about 2 minutes with a mixer or 8–10 minutes by hand.
- Fill a glass three-quarters full with milk. Add ice if making iced dalgona coffee.
- Spoon the whipped coffee foam on top of the milk.
- Stir before drinking and enjoy your creamy dalgona coffee.
Notes
- Always use instant coffee. Ground coffee will not whip or form foam.
- Use the 1:1:1 ratio of coffee, sugar, and hot water for best results.
- For iced dalgona coffee, use cold milk and plenty of ice.
- You can flavor the foam with vanilla, cocoa powder, cinnamon, or caramel.
- Stir the foam into the milk before drinking for the best taste.
